GLOBAL PICKLEBALL ALLIANCE

Uniting pickleball federations worldwide with standardized international rankings

Our Mission

The Global Pickleball Alliance (GPA) is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of pickleball as a truly global sport. We provide a unified ranking system that allows players from different nations to compete fairly and transparently, regardless of where they play.

By establishing consistent standards for tournament classification, point allocation, and player ranking across member federations, we ensure that every match contributes meaningfully to a player’s global standing.

Our Vision

We envision a world where pickleball is recognized as a premier international sport, with clear pathways for players to progress from local clubs to world championships. Through collaboration between national federations, we aim to create opportunities for cross-border competition, cultural exchange, and the elevation of the sport to new heights.

Inclusivity

Welcoming players of all skill levels, ages, and backgrounds from every corner of the globe.

Excellence

Maintaining the highest standards in tournament organization, officiating, and player development.

Unity

Bringing together national federations to create a cohesive, globally recognized sport.

Our History

The Global Pickleball Alliance was established in August 2025 when seven national and regional pickleball organisations came together with a shared goal of creating a unified international framework for professional competition. The founding members include the Association of Pickleball Players (APP – USA), Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL), European Pickleball Federation (EPF), Global Sports (India), Pickleball England, Pickleball D-Joy (Vietnam), and the National Pickleball League (Australia).

This alliance was formed to address a growing need within the sport — a coordinated global tournament calendar, a unified world ranking system, and clear international pathways for professional players. By aligning schedules and ranking points across continents, the Alliance aims to reduce event conflicts, increase global playing opportunities, and support the growth of professional pickleball as a sustainable career path. The first official Global Event Calendar will launch with the 2026 season, featuring more than 30 sanctioned tournaments across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Australia, each contributing to a single international ranking system for professional athletes.

Today, the GPA coordinates rankings for thousands of players competing in hundreds of sanctioned tournaments annually, providing a transparent and fair system that rewards consistent performance and competitive achievement.
